What you share, and what happens to it.

The point of collecting information is to answer your question, arrange the work and keep a useful record of it. Your household records belong to you. We do not sell our customer mailing list. For home visits, we explain what records and photos the work calls for and ask before publishing identifiable customer or project photos.

What you give us

When you contact us, book a visit or buy a service, we receive the details you provide. Depending on the form, these include your name, email, phone number, service address, who will be there, communication preferences and information about the work. We use them to respond, prepare for the visit, send confirmations, complete the service and maintain business records.

If you arrange work for someone else, share only what is needed and make sure they know. Keep passwords, payment-card numbers, medical records and financial documents out of messages and chat. Enter payment details only through checkout.

Booking and payments

Squarespace hosts this website, and Acuity Scheduling handles online appointments. Information entered in those forms is processed through those services. Contact-form submissions are emailed to robert@thetrussclub.com, and Squarespace stores the submitted email address in Contacts. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam; Google’s processing is described in its privacy policy. Payment details are handled by the provider shown at checkout. We use Google Workspace for business email and record storage, and AI-assisted tools to help review correspondence and prepare service documents; those tools process the information provided for that work.

Providers process information to deliver their services and may keep technical, security and transaction records under their own policies. Information can be processed outside Oregon. Read the Squarespace privacy policy, which includes Acuity.

Visiting the website

Squarespace receives technical information needed to serve the site, including your IP address, browser and device information, and pages visited. The site uses Google Analytics to understand visits and interactions. Analytics can involve cookies, device identifiers, pages viewed, referral information and approximate location.

Cookies and similar technologies support website features and analytics. Use Cookie Preferences on this site to review the choices offered. Your browser also lets you manage cookies; blocking them can affect booking or checkout. Google explains its processing and controls in Google Analytics privacy information. Booking services and other linked services may have their own controls.

Rob Answers

Rob Answers is an optional AI assistant. When you send a question, it sends your question, selected area, a conversation identifier and recent conversation context to the service running the assistant. OpenAI processes the submitted conversation to generate answers. Please leave out names, exact addresses and private household details.

Questions and service-use events may be recorded to improve and operate the assistant. Hosting and AI providers may also retain technical and security records. See OpenAI’s API data controls.

You can call or email us instead of using the chat interface.

Messages you choose

Asking a question or booking a service does not by itself sign you up for a newsletter. If you choose to receive it, you can ask to stop. Appointment confirmations and messages needed to arrange the work are separate.

Keeping, correcting and deleting information

We keep information for the purpose it was collected, including completing work, maintaining service and transaction records, and meeting legal obligations. Retention depends on the kind of record and why it is needed. A request about household photos may be handled differently from one about invoices, bookings or providers’ technical records.

Contact robert@thetrussclub.com or 541-203-0288 to ask what we hold about you, request a copy, correct something or request deletion. We may need to verify that the information belongs to you. We will explain what we can delete and any records we need to retain. Information may also need to be disclosed when required by law.
